Honey-Mint lemonade

Bright, tart flavor of lemon, I love freshly squeezed lemon juice, it is my passion! Very simple recipe of lemonade, ingredients can be found at any kitchen (well, maybe except for the mint), and on hot summer days, you will not only quench your thirst, but will get a good portion of vitamins.

Ingredients:

For mint syrup:
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup of fresh mint leaves, chopped
For lemonade:
  • 3 cups water
  • 1,5 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • fresh mint leaves, for decoration (optional)

Preparation:

1. Prepare the mint syrup. In a small bowl, mix sugar, water and mint. Put it on medium heat for 4 to 6 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, let stand 10 minutes. Strain through a fine sieve, separate the mint. Pour into a jar or container, refrigerate for 4 hours (the syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 days).

2. Prepare the lemonade. In pitcher, combine water, lemon juice, honey and mint syrup. Fill 6 glasses with ice and mint leaves as desired. Lemonade serve with ice.

Enjoyed!
